Hello Everyone!
Rose and I would like to express our gratitude to all of you who have checked out St. Joseph’s Shelf this May. We’ve heard back from many of you about how beautiful the site is, how you like the content, feel this project is needed, etc.
Thank you. It’s so encouraging to hear that. Please know, in turn, how grateful we are to be able to write for you. It is truly a joy.
Readers have also been asking how they can be of help to us. As it turns out, there are several ways!
- You can spread the word about St. Joseph’s Shelf to others. We are not on social media and are reliant on your help.
- You can leave comments on posts for two weeks after their original publication. Please, engage with what we’ve written and help get a discussion going. It will help draw others to the site.
- Our poll for July’s topic goes live tomorrow and stays up through June 7th. Please, fill it out and encourage others to do so. We want your feedback so we can better serve you.
- You can also sign up for our newsletter “From the Shelf” and for email notifications about new posts. You’ll stay up to date on what’s going on, and you can forward the emails to others who you think might be interested in the content.
- Prayers! Yes, I know, you hear that all the time, perhaps. And maybe you nod and murmur a “Hail Mary,” but inwardly wonder how much it really helps. Rose and I are here to tell you that it most definitely does help. The fact that we’re here, that this idea didn’t just peter out and land in the garbage bin as too many writing projects do, is testimony to that truth. So is your positive response to our endeavors. Pray that we stay the course and that many other readers draw close to God through this project of His.
Speaking of prayers, I’ve been bugging God to send us more writers for the site. Then Vir Christi emailed us. 🙂 His first article on glorifying God through our senses in art goes live June 4th. Be sure to check it out along with our other articles on Art and Entertainment this June!
Thank you again for your help and encouragement. Know that you’re in our prayers.
God Bless,
Amber & Rose
Amber Kinloch
Amber writes from the bunker of her living room. There she hunkers down with her laptop and a blanket while keeping an eye and ear tuned in to the activity of family life. Music set on loop keeps her energy flowing as she muses on the deeper happenings of ordinary life and what food to restock the fridge with.
Rose Leigh
Rose has been drawing and writing since she could hold a pencil, creating worlds of giants, fairies, and adventurers from her imagination. She works as a graphic designer and loves discussing the good and creative aspects of literature, art, and film.
